YRE Methodology
The four mantras of YRE Methodology are-:
- Investigate- The place where you are is the beginning of change. Find any environmental issue in your local area and delve deep into it by interpreting solutions from different perspectives. Try to link the local issue in a global context and find solutions based on it. Utilize different methods of research such as surveys and questionnaires in order to find social, economic and political consequences behind that particular issue. Awaken concerned individuals and groups to find what their perspectives on the issue are, and urge them to take action as well.
- Research Solution- The aim is to find sustainable solutions for that particular issue through the opinions and ideas of experts and stakeholders and in the process evaluating the effectiveness of the solution in different contexts. The solutions brought to the fore needs to have a strong basis to be justifiable and acceptable.
- Report- Articulate the environmental issue in detail, in the form of a report where the solution is expressed from a journalistic perspective through an article, photograph or video. The created creative journalistic piece needs to be communicated for which the target audience has to be identified.
- Disseminate- The last path is to disseminate the solution through the different media channels to the respective target audience in order to effect a change. The different media channels are- newspapers, radio, television, social media, exhibition, film show, local events, etc.
